PARTY TIME
from "Anniversary" "Betrayal" and "Party Time" by H. Pinter
The show is based on three different dramas that start from a similar premise: an enclosed space, a handful of people and their burden of hypocrisy.
The evening at the restaurant and the great anniversary festival of Party Time merge into a single time-point of tax evasion and carefree, a bright haven at times harassed by dark foreboding of the war.
And while bubbling out a threat unspeakable and suffocated, even there, inside, where it could be no salvation, appears the threat of even more frightening truth. The revelation is the force that erodes the patience of our conversations reluctant guests, bringing in the light of betrayal, secrets and omissions.
Maybe this time will not be enough to bury them a lift.
